LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. / PLANO, Texas — Mohave Mortgage, the family-owned independent mortgage brokerage founded by Chad and Dawn Hansen in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, has acquired Members Direct Home Loans (MDHL), a Texas-based mortgage lending team with three decades of experience helping Texans finance their homes. The acquisition was effective June 2026.

The acquisition gives Mohave Mortgage a dedicated, on-the-ground presence in Texas for the first time, anchored by a new regional office in Plano, centrally located to serve the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and clients throughout the state. MDHL founder Kelly Welton, who built the company over 30 years, is joining Mohave Mortgage as Regional Manager of the Texas office — pairing three decades of Texas-specific lending knowledge with Mohave Mortgage’s broker-shop model, broad loan menu, and hands-on, no-BS service standard. The combined team now serves clients and real estate partners in Arizona, California, Texas, and Colorado.
